Après 2 saisons de navigation, nous avons décidé de lancer en 2008 la série de travaux nécessaires au grand départ éventuel. Parmi les priorités: des nouvelles voiles, un bimini, un nouveau autopilote (essentiel, c'est notre 3eme équipier), une nouvelle annexe, deux panneaux solaires, et un nouveau parc de batteries avec un controlleur (formidable). Une sortie d'eau en juin pour le carenage, une nouvelle couche d'antifouling avec le changement de toutes les anodes, et nous sommes repartis pour un petit tour en Galice. Profitant des vents favorables, nous avons pu rentrer un peu plus tôt en France dans la saison afin de visiter Ile d'Yeu et Marans.
With 2 summers of sailing behind us, we started working progressively on Galatée to upgrade her equipment and improve the level of comfort that would one day allow us to sail further and longer. A complete set of new sails, a bimini, a new auto-pilot, a new dinghy, solar panels and a new set of batteries were among the first priorities, not to forget getting her out onto the dry dock to completely renew the protective coat of anti-fouling paint on the hull and changing the anodes that protect the aluminium from corrosion. Nevertheless, we timed everything such as to still be able to sail for the summer, making yet another crossing to Spain and still had time to explore Ile d'Yeu and Marans in France.
从2007年夏天回家之后，便决定慢慢再更新和装修我们的帆船，为的是能够有那么一日扬帆远航。主要的更新项目，包括了更换一套新的风帆，加了一些安全仪器，和好多能够让我们更了解和预测天气预告，尽量保证能够每次出海都在最安全的情况才出发。忙了好几个月后，还好夏天之前一切工程顺利完成，再一次出发回到西班牙走一趟。
