We left the Port of Bordeaux without much hassle around midnight of Saturday 17 July. We stayed the rest of the night berthed at the waiting pontoon just outside the Port, and made the trip on the River Garonne (whose colour is just as brown as chocolate milk!) towards the Atlantic the next day. We have since been waiting and resting at Port Medoc, for favourable wind and sea conditions to cross the Biscay Bay to Galician Spain. Making good use of these few days of course, to check our sails, find our mark in the day to day organisation of the boat, testing recipes (fresh pasta, bread and lots more!)...
